ABOUT

Our Arri MiniLF has been converted for full-spectrum imaging by replacing the original infrared-blocking cover glass with clear optical glass. This allows the sensor to capture both visible and infrared light, expanding creative possibilities across a wide spectral range.

The kit includes a set of external filters to isolate specific wavelengths:

No Filter: The sensor captures all visible and infrared light at once.

550nm–665nm: Blend of visible and IR light for surreal, false-colour effects

720nm: Classic infrared look with glowing foliage and dark skies

850nm: Pure infrared for high-contrast, monochrome images

IR Chrome: Emulates Kodak Aerochrome, producing red foliage, cyan skies, and a distinctive colour infrared look

The 720nm and 850nm filters are particularly effective for creating night vision-style visuals, even in daylight or controlled lighting.

An infrared flashlight is included with the kit.

For lighting, sources that emit infrared include tungsten, halogen, and IR LEDs—all of which work well for full-spectrum and IR-only shooting.

LED panels, HMIs, and fluorescents, on the other hand, typically do not emit usable IR, and may appear very dim or non-functional in IR images.

We provide custom LUTs (Look-Up Tables) for each filter as well as for full-spectrum (no filter) use, suitable for both on-set monitoring and post-production grading.

A LUT is a simple file that tells your camera monitor or editing software how to display the image—kind of like applying a filter to give it a certain look. It adjusts things like colour, contrast, and brightness, either to help you see a more finished image on set or to match a consistent style in the final grade.

Our technical LUTs are built by grading the middle grey (the fourth grey patch from the left on a Macbeth chart) to match a generated middle grey patch in DaVinci Resolve. The grade then pivots from that point, creating a consistent neutral base that balances colours and greyscale accurately.

Our creative LUTs push the look further, including colour channel swaps and more stylized options to enhance infrared or full-spectrum aesthetics.

Reference chart shots are included for all LUTs to assist with consistent grading and visual matching.
