Xelmus Apollo anamorphic primes are small and lightweight with incredible close focus, eliminating the need for diopters – they focus down to between 15” – 18” inches, which is unheard of in anamorphic lenses.
The MK2 Apollos have the classic anamorphic look which we know and love at One Stop Films. When stopped down to 2.8 they perform incredibly well across the frame, and when used wide open the centre stays sharp with beautiful fall-off.
The lenses have rotating astigmatizers (similar to Panavision anamorphics), so no bumps, no focus breathing, and amazing close focus in a compact and lightweight design.
The lenses are a 2x squeeze and cover full frame, but also look fantastic on a Super35 sensor, like the Arri Alexa35.
